FORMER Fiji Pearls coach Vicki Wilson has joined Pulse netball coaching team in New Zealand as their specialist shooting coach.

The Australian shooting great has come into a shock after there was no update or media release about her departure.

According to her email, Wilson said her contract had expired at the World Cup this year.

“Sadly my contract finished at World Cup. The Sports Commission advised me earlier in the year that the international coach’s program was not budgeted for in the next financial year,” she said.

According to the Pulse Netball website, the appointment of former Australian netball captain as specialist shooting coach has further bolstered Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse’s impressive stable of side-line expertise.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity to come and work with the Pulse and Yvette,’’ she said.

There was no official statement from Netball Fiji regarding to Wilson’s contract.
