TOURISM Minister Premila Kumar says events such as the Industry Day allows stakeholders to understand how the global tourism landscape is evolving.
She shared this while opening the 2019 Industry Day at Denarau Island Sheraton Resort in Nadi today.
“It allows us to know who our potential customers are or could be, and how we intend on marketing ourselves strategically with the right messaging,” Mrs Kumar said.
” We will pay special attention to having in place regional brands that complement our national one.
“This will mean, you as custodians of your respective region, will need to take ownership, as well as have pride in what is distinct to your special regions.”
More than 200 tourism stakeholders are in Nadi to discuss the industry’s success and the way forward for the industry.
