Two children involved in serious accidents over the weekend

MEMBERS of the public are being urged to be mindful of their safety following two serious accidents involving children over the weekend.

The first case involved an eight year-old-girl after she allegedly bumped by a minibus on Saturday afternoon.

Police say the girl was waiting for her aunt with few others near the Navua bridge when suddenly crossed the road when the alleged incident happened.

“She is currently admitted at the CWM Hospital,” police said.

“The driver has been questioned and released pending investigations.”

Meanwhile the other incident also involves a four-year-old girl residing in Cunnigham who was allegedly bumped by a vehicle driven by a 33-year-old man.

“The victim allegedly suddenly crossed the road when the incident happened.

“She is also admitted at the CWM Hospital.”
