THE Construction Industry Council has appointed an office administrator in parallel with the official opening of its new office on the Fiji National University campus at Samabula.
CIC chief executive officer Vijay Naidu said the set office hours and services were expected to improve communications with its associations, industry and government.
He also noted the appointment of Payal Prasad as its administrator.
“We have now become fully operational. Our annual general meeting, planned workshops and our next year’s conference as well as an increased demand for our participation in a number of industry-related meetings, we are now better positioned to meet these and other challenges,” said Mr Naidu.
Ms Prasad earned her Bachelor of Commerce from USP, majoring in human resources and management.
She comes to CIC with extensive experience in administration, the last working with the FNU’s School of Mechanical Engineering.
Mr Naidu said the office would be open from 9am to 4pm – Monday through Friday.
