The 2019 Chow Games under-14 girls blue ribbon winner Adi Repeka Vakalolo of Lautoka has set her eyes on the Coca-Cola Games next year.

Vakalolo, 14, of Yakete, Ba played a cool character as she took out first place with a time if 13.19 seconds.

“I thank God Almighty for the strength and the win,” Vakalolo said.

“But for me it’s not over yet because I will continue to work hard so I can run next year in the Coca-Cola Games.”

Vakalolo, who attends Lautoka Primary School, has maternal links in Fulaga in Lau and ran barefoot in the final to tip Ruci Serai of Nadroga/ Navosa for the win.

“I love to run barefoot because it’s easier for me to feel the tracks beneath my feet,” Specialising in the 100 metre and 200 metre events, the sprint queen has competed in the Chow Games for the past six years winning a medal every year.

She hopes to attend Natabua High School next year.
