TICKETS for the 2019 Uprising Music Festival are sold out at all outlets.

Inoke Kalounisiga from Knox Entertainment who are organisers of the festival said a lot would be on show at the first day of the festival today.

The artists participating in the two-day event attended a workshop with New Zealand based band House of Shem at the New Zealand High Commissioner’s residence yesterday. Kalounisiga acknowledged the House of Shem for taking their time to share their stories and experiences in the lead-up to today’s main event.

“Thank you for coming around and for taking the time to share with us your experiences,” he said.

Lead-singer of the band Te Omeka Perkins said it was an honour for them to come and perform in Fiji for the first time.

“It’s been a long time coming and I am so excited to be here and we can’t wait to perform at the festival today,” Perkins said.

Kalounisiga added it would be a day filled with food, fun and a lot of entertainment.

The annual festival will kick-start at 11.45am today at the Uprising Beach Resort in Pacific Harbour.
