2019 Courts IDC: Selection open for players to play at WC qualifiers

THE selection for the national team to participate at the Oceania Football Confederation 2022 World Cup Qualifying Championship is wide open. The regional qualifiers will be held at the end of next year.

OFC has a half spot at the 2022 FIFA World Cup which will be played in Qatar.

The winner of the regional championship will earn a inter confederation playoff to get to the pinnacle of this sport.

Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel said they know the players who are the ones who have the potential represent the country.

“The selection is open for every player who wishes to play for the country,” Patel said yesterday.

“We will keep on selecting the better players who come up the ranks but at the same time we will have wait to see what the new national coach wants.

Fiji has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup.
