THERE is no end in the fight against climate change, said the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (giz) director programmes- Pacific Islands, James Forbes.

He made this comment during a press conference in Suva this morning.

One of the biggest challenge faced in the Pacific, he said was climate change and as an NGO they have come on board to assist in the facilitation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NCD).

The regional Pacific NCD hub established in July,2017 officiated by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama as a mechanism to support a coordinated approach to assist Pacific Island Countries in reviewing, and enhancing and implementing NCDs.

He said through the hub they would be able to assist the regional countries that have signed the Paris Agreement.

“The Pacific island leadership plays an important role in being at the forefront of fighting climate change,” Mr Forbes said.
