Naval Japanese commander pays courtesy call to Fiji PM

COMMANDER of the Japanese Naval Training Squadrons, Rear Admiral Daisuke Kajimoto paid a courtesy call to the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama today.

Commander Kajimoto was accompanied by the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic Fiji Masahiro Omura and a few of the members of the naval ship.

The Training Squadron led by the Commander Kajimoto is currently conducting the overseas training cruise in the Pacific on board two Japanese Naval ships JS KASHIMA and JS INAZUMA.

As part of the visit, the Squadron was involved in a number of exchange programs to promote Fiji- Japan friendship.

As a token of appreciation, Mr Bainimarama presented a gift to the Commander Japanese Naval Training Squadrons.
