$4m worth of marijuana plants uprooted in a month

FIJIAN Police confiscated $4million worth of marijuana in the Northern Division last month alone.

This was revealed at the closing of the week-long Digicel Duavata Crime Prevention Carnival in Labasa on Saturday night by Assistant Commissioner of Police Maretino Qiolevu who said this was a result of the drug raid conducted on Vanua Levu for the month of June.

ACP Qiolevu said officers had been conducting raid throughout Vanua Levu focusing on the illegal marijuana trade.
