India’s 73rd independence day celebrations

THE Khatriya hall in Suva was yesterday a sea of colours with various dance performances by student groups.

President Jioji Konrote yesterday joined cabinet ministers, senior government officials and members of the diplomatic corp at India’s 73rd independence day celebrations.

Deputy Chief of Protocol, Mesake Ledua said that Fiji is proud to count on India as one of her strategic partners.

“Our bilateral cooperation has been extensive as witnessed through the many programmes on the ground, and through the consistent sectoral cooperation in agriculture, education, health, sugar industry and renewable energy, development programmes, technical and development assistance, amongst others.”
