2019 Pacific Games: Team Fiji moves up to fourth position

TEAM Fiji is in fourth position on the medal tally going into the ninth day of competition at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa.

It will be a battle for the second place now as New Caledonia has dominated the tally from day one, and it is safe to say at this stage that they are unofficially the winners of the games – having bagged 56 gold, 35 silver and 27 bronze medals.

In second place is Samoa with 26 gold, 24 silver and 30 bronze medals,  followed by Tahiti with 24 gold, 25 silver and 26 bronze medals.

Fiji has 22 gold, 24 silver and 28 bronze medals, while Australia is in fifth place with 20 gold, 9 silver and 13 bronze medals.
