iTaukei male perpetrators concern ministry

THE Ministry of iTaukei has expressed serious concerns at the number of iTaukei men who continued to be perpetrators of violence against women and children.

Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs Meleti Bainimarama said the issue needed to be addressed and Roko Tui’s and Senior Assistant Roko Tui’s of the various provincial councils needed to strategise and listen to the plight of victims.

Mr Bainimarama said iTaukei people needed to be reminded and educated on the values of violence-free communities.
