Six new Secretaries sworn into office

TARAWA, (RADIO KIRIBATI) – Six Government Secretaries in Kiribati were sworn in Tuesday at the State House in Bairiki.

The six include Naomi Biribo who is now the new Secretary to Cabinet, Natario Kiati as the new Secretary for the Line and Phoenix Islands Development, Bwakura Metutera Timeon as the new Secretary for Education, Teatao Tiira who remains as Secretary for Information, Communication, Transport and Tourism Development, Ioataake Timeon as the new Secretary of the Public Service Office and Terieta Mwemwenikeaki is now the new Secretary for Women, Youth, Sport and Social Affairs (MWYSSA).

The six took their oath in the presence of President Taneti Maamau and First Lady Teiraeng Maamau, Cabinet Ministers, church representatives and other senior government officials.
