BABASIGA wonderboy and international football star Roy Krishna continues to bag awards, this time winning the Wellington Sportsman of the Year award last night.

Krishna posted on his official Facebook Page after the win.

“What an honour to be recognised by the city that has accepted me as one of its own. Looking at the nominees, I didn’t think that I stood a chance of winning the Wellington Sportsman of the Year Award,” the humble Labasa boy stated.

“Thank you Wellington Phoenix FC for all that you’ve done for me. Thank you Wellington for all the love,” he added.

Krishna beat the likes of Hurricanes halfback TJ Perenara and Melbourne Storm prop Nelson Solomona for the award.

The former Wellington Phoenix marksman announced earlier this week that he will be joining India Super League side ATK in August later in the year.
