2019/2020 National Budget: Chance for young graduates to work in Government

Listen to this article:

YOUNG graduates will be given a chance to work in Government departments in a new cadet program.

While delivering the 2019/2020 National Budget Address this evening, Economy Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the cadetship program will open a new door of opportunity for graduates looking to find a new career.

“We also are introducing a new program for cadetship that will be spearheaded by the Department of Civil Service,” he said.

“The cadetship will give top graduates a holistic look at how the ministry functions as they work in various ministries to learn how they work together to advance Government’s agenda.

“Once rolled out it will be one of the most dynamic work opportunities offered in the county as participants will get an unprecedented view before settling on a career path with the intersection of their professional interests.”
