PULSE Energy Highlanders and All Blacks winger Waisake Naholo is eager to show why he became one of the best rugby players in the world when he plays at the ANZ Stadium tomorrow against the Gallagher Chiefs.
He arrived home yesterday with the Highlanders team keen to play in front of his home fans in round 17 of the Super Rugby competition.
“It is exciting to come to Fiji and this weekend is important to us,” he said while meeting fans and well-wishers at the Nausori International Airport.
“The Chiefs are not easy and we lost to them in our first game, so the boys are really excited.”
The Nadroumai flyer from Nadroga will be playing for the first time, as a Super Rugby and an All Blacks player, on home soil.
It will be a double celebration for the Highlander because he will be playing his 50th Super Rugby match, and here at home.
“I’m really excited coming to play at home and I’m calling on all fans to come and support our team.”
