THE Ministry of Waterways and Environment, a newly formed ministry by Government to oversee the works of waterway and environment developments, has been given an allocation of $70million.
In his 2018-2019 National Budget address, Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the allocation was because waterways were part of our natural environment.
“It will make funding projects easier and make projects completed more quickly,” he said.
