2018/19 Budget: Duty on imported fizzy drinks

DUTY on imported fizzy drinks has been increased to 32 per cent.

In his 2018-2019 National Budget address, Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said this would encourage a healthier lifestyle among Fijians and reduce the number of NCDs.

He also announced the reduction from 5 to zero per cent of duties on certain imported goods, especially on fruits to encourage healthier living.
