2019 Fiji FACT: Lautoka through to semis

THE Lautoka football side is the first team through to the semi-finals of the Vodafone Fiji FACT underway at Churchill Park.

Lautoka is the only team after day two to have recorded two wins out of two matches after defeating Labasa 2-1 in its second pool match.

The Blues came out strong as Samuela Drudru’s first half goal saw them leading 1-nil at the break.

Ilisoni Logaivau equalised in the second spell but Benjamin Totori restored pride for the home side with the winning goal.

Lautoka has six points while Suva has four. Labasa has one point while Tavua is yet to register a point.

In matches tomorrow, Suva needs a draw against Lautoka to qualify while Labasa needs a big win against Tavua and will hope Lautoka beats Suva.

Pool B is wide open with all four teams still in the race for a spot in the semi-finals.

Ba has four points, Rewa and Nadi are on three whole, and Nasinu has one point.

In matches tomorrow, Nasinu battles Nadi at 11am, Labasa takes on Tavua at 1pm, Rewa plays Ba at 3pm while Suva faces Lautoka at 5pm.
