HEALTH Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete this morning opened the 2019 University of South Pacific Health Week in the Laucala Bay campus.
While officiating at the event Dr Waqainabete said people needed to be encouraged to drink a lot of water.
Dr Waqainabete said there was always a need to respond to the health challenges in the Pacific.
He said children were to be trained to be fit for the rest of their lives.
He has encouraged USP to continue with this wellness programme.
“USP is a place known to train leaders of the Pacific, he said.
Dr Waqainabete also highlighted that the Pacific Island was a very youthful population.
