FSCUL celebrates 62 years of existence

THE Fiji Savings and Credit Union League (FSCUL) commemorated  its 62nd anniversary at the Fiji Nursing Association (FNA) hall in Suva yesterday (June 23).

FSCUL vice president Filomena Talawadua said the Fiji Credit Union League Union was registered on June 23, 1956 and re-registered as FSCUL on June 5, 2006.

“It is the peak body of the credit union movement of Fiji and the credit union movement began in the country in 1954,” Ms Talawadua said.

She added there were currently only four credit unions financial members of FSCUL.
