Bail extended for duo on aggravated robbery and theft charges

TWO men charged with a count each of aggravated robbery and theft had their bail extended by the High Court in Suva today.

The court heard that between December 27 and December 28, 2018, in Nasinu, Peniasi Ciri and Neomi Delana allegedly broke into the Nayan’s Supermarket and dishonestly appropriated assorted liquor valued at $1646.90, $136 cash and cigarettes valued at $1676.90.

State lawyer Rajneel Kumar said they had disclosures ready and were yet to have it filed.

He also informed the court they were waiting for the CCTV footage and had sought seven days to file the information.

Judge Justice Daniel Goundar advised the State that they could submit the footage before the trial proper.

The case has set for trial on April 17.
