Mauritius beats New Caledonia in friendly footie

THE Mauritius football side beat New Caledonia 3-1 in an international football friendly match in Lautoka today.

New Caledonia, after losing 3-nil to Fiji on Monday, made a good start as a goal in the first spell saw them leading 1-nil at the break.

Mauritius gained momentum in the second spell and scored three unanswered goals for the win.

Mauritius will now play Fiji in the last match of the Tri-Nations Series this Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Lautoka’s Churchill Park at 3pm.
