President Konrote receives Romania non-resident ambassador

PRESIDENT Jioji Konrote this morning received the Non-Resident Ambassador of Romania to Fiji Nineta Bărbulescu at Borron House.

Ms Bărbulescu presented her credentials to President Konrote and was also accorded a guard of honour by the members of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

Prior to holding the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania post to Australia, New Zealand, Kiribati, Fiji and Solomon Islands Ms Nineta Bărbulescu was Romania’s Director General for Export Controls from January to October 2013.

She previously also held the position of Vice Chair of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) from 2011 -2012, Chair of the OPCW 2013 – 2014 and was a member of the Confidentiality Commission of the OPCW 2015 – 2016.
