A TROUGH of low pressure with associated cloud and showers remains slow moving just to the West of Fiji.

The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi today says a moist northerly wind flow prevails over the country.

As for the forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, expect cloudy periods with some showers and isolated thunderstorms with heavy falls over Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Western half of Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands and interior of larger islands.

Elsewhere, it will be fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms with heavy falls.

Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.

For mariners, expect moderate northerly winds with moderate seas.

The outlook for Thursday, expect cloudy periods with some showers and possible afternoon or evening thunderstorms about the eastern and interior of the larger islands.

Also, expect afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls elsewhere.
