Kings reign in school athletics tourney

KINGS House has been crowned the new Assemblies of God High School inter-house athletics competition champion.

House members took top honours in yesterday’s school athletics competition at the ANZ Stadium at Laucala Bay, Suva.

Kings House took over the crown from dethroned champion Apostles house which came last overall in this year’s competition.

“The competitive nature shown by the athletes this year has been a positive showing for the school heading forward into the zone meet,” said the head of physical education, music arts and craft department, Ratu Nawi Rokodugu.

“We are looking forward to a great athletic year.”

Kings house came first with 56 gold medals, 48 silver medals and 37 bronze medals.

Judges House took second place with 47 gold medals, 47 silver medals and 36 bronze medals.

Prophets house managed third place with 31 gold medals, 26 silver medals and 11 bronze medals with Apostles House taking fourth with 20 gold medals, 29 silver medals and 20 bronze medals.
