THE students of Gospel High School who participated in their school inter-house competition yesterday at the ANZ Stadium gave their best for their teams.

St Luke house was crowned champion after dethroning defending champion St John house.

The atmosphere and spirit of competition lighted up as athletes from the five houses competed with the support from parents and students cheering groups.

Athletes of St Mathew, St Mark, St Luke and St John houses competed along students from St Paul house.

The house has students from the Gospel Special School.

Nasoni Nawanawailagi is a member of St Paul house and is a name to look out for in the Suva athletics competitions and the Coca-Cola Games this year.

He is 18 and yesterday he surprised everyone with his blistering speed.

The Tailevu lad won the 400 metres senior boys event and helped his team win the gold medal in the 4x400m relay final.
