POLICE officers from nine Pacific Island Countries are part of a Cyber Crime workshop organised by the Australian Federal Police.

The workshop was opened by Fiji Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho in Nadi today.

Mr Qiliho said the criminal landscape was changing at a rapid pace and it was important for regional police forces to equip themselves with the relevant information and tools needed to combat crime.

He added that cyber crime remained the biggest challenge for police.

The workshop, underway at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa, will discuss the dangers of cyber crime and how police officers could address the challenges that it provides for law enforcement agencies.
