Weather watch: Flood warning issued for low lying areas

A FLOOD warning has been issued for low lying areas and communities adjacent to Naqali Station.

The Fiji Meteorological Service (FMS) said the heavy rain experienced over the country was being caused by a weak trough of low pressure with cloud and showers.

In its bulletin today, FMS said the system was slow moving over the eastern parts of the country.

However, members of the public have been urged to prepare for isolated afternoon or evening showers, heavy falls expected in certain areas.

People can expect isolated heavy falls in the afternoon with possible thunderstorms for the duration of the week.
