Defence minister visits disciplined forces

THE Minister for Defence and National Security, Inia Seruiratu made an official visit this morning to Republic of Fiji’s Military Forces Strategic Headquarters as part of his ongoing visitations to the members of the disciplined forces.

He was accompanied by the RFMF Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto and senior ministry officials.

Mr Seruiratu also visited the Stanley Brown Naval Base in Walu Bay, Suva where he was received by the Navy Commander Humphrey Tawake and was later accorded the quarter guard of honour.

He then visited the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Delainabua where he was accorded the traditional welcome ceremony.

As part of his visit, Mr Seruiratu held various closed meetings with senior officials of the RFMF and Fiji Navy.
