AUSTRALIAN Prime Minister Scott Morrison met Minister for Employment Productivity Industry Relations and Youth and Sports Parveen Kumar at Albert Park in Suva today.

The Australian PM arrived at least half an hour earlier for the 8.30am scheduled meeting.

He indicated support by his government for Fiji on the sports field.

Mr Morrison also assured his government’s support for Fiji’s bid towards the 2020 NSW Cup.

Fiji’s head for the bid Petero Civoniceva welcomed the support.

“It’s pleasing news to our ears. We have been trying for so long and now it seems our dreams will turn into reality,” Civoniceva said.

Morrison also visited USP, and later FNU before he heads to Nadi later this afternoon.
