A 30-YEAR-old man who is alleged to have caused the death of a man walking on the roadside has been further remanded by the High Court in Suva.
Ratu Semi Kabakaba Degei is charged with a count each of manslaughter, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, and driving motor vehicle while there is present of a concentration of alcohol in excess of the prescribed limit in the blood.
It is alleged that while a 32-year-old man was walking on the road side at 7.30am on August 24, 2018, in Nasinu, Mr Degei bumped him with his vehicle causing his death.
Judge Justice Vinsent Perera has adjourned the case to November 27 for a plea to be taken.
