FCS to hold force expeditionary skills exercise

Listen to this article:

THE Fiji Corrections Service will conduct a force expeditionary skills exercise next week at the Naboro Prison Compound.

There will be teams from the 14 institutions around the country and they will compete in the Fiji Correction Services inaugural force skills exercise.

FCS public relations officer Jone Kalouniviti said officers who would compete in the two-day exercise would begin with a theoretical assessment before taking to a seven-kilometre course with 18 obstacle points marked along the route that encompasses the Naboro area.

“We had a test run on Thursday and the feedback received, it will surely be a gruelling exercise for our officers,” Mr Kalouniviti said.

The exercise will run on Wednesday and Thursday (October 24-25) and will culminate with the Corrections Day on Friday, October 26.

The Corrections Day will also have the annual Fiji Corrections Service and National Fire Authority rugby match where the Francis Kean Shield is challenged.
