THE maintenance of an appropriate level of infrastructure and facilities are vital for an effective delivery of health services, says Social Democratic Liberal Party leader Sitiveni Rabuka.

Mr Rabuka said Fiji’s health services needed a massive overhaul commencing from basic health services at all levels of primary, secondary and tertiary health care.

He claimed the shortage of skilled health staff, poor working conditions and high turnover of staff members created this vacuum.

“In considering the state of our national health services, we must all reflect on and review our commitments and pledges to the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015.”
