Climate change run organised in Nadi

MORE than 200 runners are expected to take part in the Climate Change Run organised by the Nadi Jet Runners Club next week.

The Jet Runners Club in conjunction with Bula events group have organised the event to promote healthy living and create awareness on the environment.

Club president Abhinesh Kumar said they were expecting a huge turnout.

Registration opens at 6.30am and the 5km run starts at 8am from the NASA Gym in Nadi.

Competition takes place in the primary schools, secondary schools, open and veterans categories.

The Climate Change Run will be held next Saturday while other similar events have been planned for Rakiraki, Ba and Sigatoka in the coming months.
