Man denies theft and burglary charges

A 21-YEAR-old man charged with a count each of aggravated burglary and theft pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared in the High Court in Suva today.

It is alleged Jesoni Qoro stole assorted items to the total value of $3227, the property of Rups Investment Limited.

The alleged incident occurred on October 17 in Raiwaqa.

Defence lawyer Lavenia David informed the court that Mr Qoro alleged that the principal offender had not been charged.

Justice Daniel Goundar has remanded Mr Qoro and adjourned the matter to October 17.
