Aitcheson skips team to victory

THE David Aitcheson skippered side took out the fours discipline during the Sunny West Bowling Carnival at the Nadi Sports and Social Club on Sunday. Laced with national reps Kushal Pillay and Rajnesh Prasad and national team manager Curtis Mar, the team defeated the combination of Abdul Kalim, Graeme Simpson, Dinesh Balgovind and Sanjit Sen 20-13 in the final.

The Kalim-skippered side was the surprise package with Simpson, aged 73 from New South Wales and Balgovind aged 63 from Queensland, showing good form.

In the semi-finals, Kalim’s side beat Munesh Kumar’s team 14-13 while Aitcheson’s team defeated Semesa Naiseruvati’s side 11-8.
