Teacher faces sex charges

A SCHOOLteacher has been charged for allegedly defiling some students on an island in the North.

Police have charged him with seven counts of sexual assault.

Police spokesperson Jokatama Qio confirmed that police have charged the primary schoolteacher following investigations.

Other details surrounding the matter was not released by police.

However, he said the teacher was questioned during the initial stages of the investigations.
