FIJI Times Ltd has once again shown its support to the annual Fiji National Schools Swimming Championship as its media partner. President Patrick Bower commended The Fiji Times for always supporting children’s competition.

“It shows the consistency and accountable reporting The Fiji Times have towards unearthing hidden talents,” he said.

“This is a milestone and we will continue to work together to get the message across in getting our swimmers psyched up. “For us it has been a critical adventure, it really involves the life skills of upcoming swimmers and our future leaders.”

Bower said the schools from the North had requested if they could participate but was unfortunate because of financial constraints.

“The championship is targeted towards students improving on their swimming time and skills. “We’re expecting a two hectic days of competition which will be live streamed. “Students are looking forward to the event,” Bower said.

A total of 29 primary schools and 21 secondary schools will be taking part in the three days event.
