IT was for the love of mixing and matching clothes, shoes and accessories that led to the establishment of Stylosophy Creations, Fiji.

Owner and Fijian fashion designer Ana Rabuka in an interview with Fiji Fashion Week said fashion for her began as a hobby and now that she has an established business it has become a full time thing for her.

The 35-year-old from Vuna village in Taveuni said even though she grew up on the island, she always loves the colors of nature and everything that’s surrounds us.

“And it developed to clothes and then shoes and home decorations and the rest is history,” Ms Rabuka said.

She says an exciting day at work would involve can being in full creative mood by either sketching home decor plans, garment sketches, designing and making accessories.

Ms Rabuka who will feature in this year’s FJFW says she loves the name of her designs which is her passion in fashion design and varies from resort wear, island wear, casual and even gowns and bridal designs.

“I am trying to keep this new work as low key and I’ve planned it from last year.  The inspiration behind this new collection is special,” Ms Rabuka said.

“I am sure all the pieces will be all appealing because of the concept and colors, it will give out the meaning of our collection easily to all,” she said.

She said it is always special to showcase together with other established designers in showcasing their work as a fashion family at the FJFW.

Ms Rabuka said her prints will be totally different from what she has been showcasing and the fabrics chosen vary as according to the designs.
