Interhash spokesman Dr Ram Raju said the four–day competition has attracted about 2,000 hashers from around the world.

He said the competition was the first to be held in the country after more than 10 years of bidding.

Raju said the participants would be well looked after with many exciting activities being lined up for the visitors.

Trade, Tourism, Lands and Mineral Resources minister Faiyaz Koya said the competition would benefit the country as whole especially in terms of visitors’ arrivals.
