Samoa poses threat

“SAMOA poses a threat, but we have set plans for them,”

These were the comments of the Fiji 7s coach Siasi Fuli for the 2017 Pacific Mini Games which started in Port Vila, Vanuatu on Monday.

“I think it was good we came early and assessed the environment here before the competition kicks off on Friday and we are fine with the games village and everything is great,” he said.

“For the 7s team it is another process to develop our players and that is to take part in a tournament of such nature. It is a opportunity for the young players to showcase and prove how good they are with their rugby 7s skills.” The 7s rugby competition starts from Friday at the Korman Stadium in Port Vila and Fuli is confident the team will win a gold medal when the dust settles in Vanuatu. Fiji plays Nauru at 8pm (Fiji Time) on Friday and then plays host Vanuatu at 10.20pm (Fiji Time.)
