Squash Juniors off to Auckland

TWO of Fiji most promising junior squash players flew out to Auckland over the weekend to represent the country at the 2018 Auckland Junior Squash Open Tournament that will be held in Avondale, Auckland from 24-27 May.

Coach Dinesh Narayan said with the investment given to this young players will help motivate them to Perform at their best.

“We are very grateful to the Defence Club Squash for investing in these junior players as this event will be very beneficial to their development,” he said.

“Squash needs to invest in our upcoming junior players to ensure we have a good pool of players available for National representation at the regional and international competitions.”

Narayan added with the Government, through the Fiji National Sports Commission and FASANOC, investing a great amount of funds into sports development in the country, a proper development structure is required to be able to access these funds for squash development in the country.
