THE favorite newspaper for iTaukei elders is the Nai Lalakai.

This was mentioned by the Permanent secretary for iTaukei Affairs Naipote Katonitabua during his re-examination this morning by the State in the Fiji Times sedition trial.

Lead prosecutor Lee Burney had asked Mr Katonitabua of his experience during the cause of his duties and consultations to villages.

Mr Katonitabua said the Nai Lalakai was very popular in iTaukei communities and was widely used by the elders in rural and outer islands.

He however did not agree as to modern technology in terms of television, social media and radio from his experience were not very popular within villages and outer islands.

The trial continues before Justice Thushara Rajasinghe at the High Court in Suva.
