RENEWING expiring leases and replanting on almost all productive land in Viti Levu have been the biggest achievements of the Fiji Pine Group of Companies, says executive chairman Faiz Khan. “Our biggest achievement has been getting landowners to renew expiring leases and implement a successful pine replanting program over the last seven years,” he said.
In the past we did not replant or planted poorly.
“The typical response was there was no money to carry out replanting, or to upgrade the ageing factory for that matter,” he said.
