Lautoka in OFC final

THE Vodafone Lautoka team created history by reaching the final of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League for the first time after upsetting Marist FC 1-0 at the Lawson Tama in Honiara, Solomon Islands today.

Praneel Naidu scored the lone goal in the 63rd minute after the first fixture ended in a 1-all draw a fortnight ago at Churchill Park.

Lautoka will face Team Wellington in the final with the first leg to be played on the weekend of May 12-13 while the second leg will be played on the weekend of May 19-20.

The winner will get direct entry to the FIFA World Club Championship in the United Arab Emirates  this December.
