Fiji U20 shocking loss

FIJI Under-20 rugby team went down to the Junior Wallabies 51-5 in the first round of the Oceania U20 championship in Australia yesterday.


New Zealand thumped Tonga 97-0.

Hosts Australia impressed the home crowd with convincing win against Fiji. The Junior Wallabies were clinical in attack and pulled in eight tries to deflate a spirited Fijiana side.

The Half time score was 27-0.
Raikabula Momedonu Fijian Captain said they were expecting a tough battle against the Tier One Nation.

“I know the boys did their best however we take a lot of learnings out of this game.

We know it will be tough one going into our next game against New Zealand, but we are determined to give it our best,” he said.

Fiji will face New Zealand on Tuesday.
