A POLICE officer who was guarding a robbery suspect at the CWM hospital in Suva has been suspended after the 24-year-old man escaped from under his watch last weekend.

And as the officer awaits the outcome of an internal investigation, Police are asking for information to locate and arrest Sekove Tawake.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said Mr Tawake was admitted at the hospital under police guard after the aggravated robbery case at the medical centre in Nadera on August 20.
