THE new Nawaibuta House worth $170,000 was opened today at Korovou Town in Tailevu.

The yavusa (tribe) of Nawaibuta consists of three villages – including Navunisole, Matacula and Nailega from the province of Tailevu – and is made up of nine landowning units.

Leader of the tribe, former Fiji rugby representative Ratu Suliasi Daunitutu who was the chief guest at the ceremony said the leaders of the landowning units must continue to work with the Nawaibuta Holdings Limited.

Nawaibuta Holdings Limited deputy chairperson Levi Seduadua said this was a dream come true after 20 years.

“We have broken the barriers and we were able to achieve this and now all that’s left is to look for tenants to come occupy this newly-refurbished building,” Mr Levi Seduadua said.

Chairperson Waisele Tuidamu said the Nawaibuta Holdings Ltd paid for the refurbishments of the building in full.

“We do not owe any credit as we have paid for the building in full. We are also planning to make further developments in this town,” Mr Tuidamu said.
